Privacy
Short version: we're rude, not nosy.
What happens to your question
- The question is stored in the link itself. Anyone with the link can read it.
- To check it and write the answer, the question is sent to Anthropic's Claude API, which processes it under Anthropic's own privacy policy.
- The AI's answer is cached for up to 30 days, so everyone opening the same link gets the same answer without asking the AI again.
- Whether a question was approved or refused is logged for 30 days, so complaints can be looked into.
- To stop spam we count requests per visitor for about an hour. We only store a scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for that, never the address itself.
- Reports are kept for up to 30 days. Links reported several times are hidden.
- We count page visits with Vercel Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn't identify you, and never sees your question: shared links are only counted as "a link was opened".
- We don't set cookies or use trackers ourselves.
- Follow-up questions in the chat never leave your browser.
Hosting
The site runs on Vercel, which like any web host keeps short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the service. Cached answers, counters and logs are stored with Upstash (Redis).
Bot protection
To keep bots from burning through our AI budget, we use Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible check that you're a human. Turnstile collects technical information from your browser and device to make that call. Its use is governed by Cloudflare's Turnstile Privacy Addendum and Privacy Policy.
Abuse
Questions that harass real people, are hateful, sexual or harmful are refused when the link is made. Found something nasty anyway? Tell us at grumpy-ai@wilbrandtworks.dk.
